Creative Zen Touch is probably the closest portable media player to compete against the undeniable awesome touch control of the iPod.  The new patent pending “Touch Pad” control looks easy enough to navigation through the menu.  This new design of the Zen Touch allows Up-Down movement on the touch pad to navigate the files. The upper and lower portion of the touch pad will enable rapid scrolling of files. The middle portion can be used for normal scrolling speed. When you’re happy with the selection, press the OK button or tap on the touch pad to open the selected file.

The previously announced 20GB hard drive holds up to 10,000 WMA or 5,000 MP3 songs, and an incredible 24 hour battery life.  It's expected to be available for shipment this month and cost $269.99.

There was no mentioning of a release date or cost for the 40GB version of the Zen Touch.
